Our History

  1. 2015

    Lilly Endowment Grant

    ARI’s early foundation began with support from Lilly Endowment Inc.

  2. 2017

    ARI Formally Incorporated

    ARI was formally incorporated and assembled its leadership team and board.

  3. 2018

    Rebranded and Connected to Key Institutions

    ARI rebranded back to IN3 and strengthened connections with Indiana University, Purdue University, the University of Notre Dame, and NSWC Crane.

  4. 2021

    Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace Contract

    ARI received a Department of Defense contract to develop an acquisition business model designed to streamline procurement through the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace.

  5. 2022

    IEDC Partnership

    ARI partnered with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to focus on high-wage job creation and federal grant opportunities.

  6. 2023

    Regional Tech Hub Responsibility

    ARI was awarded responsibility for Silicon Crossroads and Heartland BioWorks, designated as regional tech hubs under ARI. Silicon Crossroads was awarded $32M in funding.

  7. 2024

    Heartland BioWorks Implementation Grant Awarded

    ARI received $51M in funding for Heartland BioWorks in July, as one of 12 EDA Technology Hubs awarded Implementation grants.

  8. 2025

    Andrew Appointed CEO

    Andrew Kossack was appointed CEO of ARI.

    Heartland BioWorks Headquarters

    ARI plans to open the new Heartland BioWorks headquarters.
